“I am a dedicated Specialist Psychiatrist with extensive experience having treated and managed a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders including affective disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, trauma-related disorders, personality disorders, neurocognitive disorders, substance use disorders and psychiatric emergencies. I am also passionate about child psychiatry including ADHD management.”
Care begins with a proper assessment — unhurried, thorough, and free of judgement. From there, treatment is planned together with you, and with the people who matter in your care: your family, your general practitioner, your psychologist.
Assessment and management across the lifespan
A broad range of psychiatric conditions is assessed and managed, for adults and for children.
Depression, bipolar mood disorder and other mood conditions — assessed carefully and managed over the long term.
Generalised anxiety, panic, social anxiety and obsessive-compulsive presentations, with practical treatment plans.
Schizophrenia and related conditions, including early identification, medication review and relapse prevention.
Post-traumatic stress and adjustment difficulties, approached at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
Assessment and structured, collaborative management, often alongside psychotherapy and other treating clinicians.
Memory and cognitive concerns in older adults, including assessment, diagnosis and support for families.
Assessment, withdrawal planning and ongoing care for alcohol and other substance-related difficulties.
Urgent assessment and stabilisation where risk to self or others requires prompt specialist intervention.
A particular passion: developmental and emotional difficulties in children and adolescents, including ADHD assessment and management.
Children are seen with their parents or caregivers. Assessment is gentle and unhurried, and always includes the school and home picture — because a child is best understood in context.
Where ADHD is present, management is planned carefully and reviewed regularly, with clear guidance for families and schools.
Three quiet commitments that shape every consultation.
Consultations take place in a private, calm setting. What is discussed stays between you and your treating team.
Where it helps, treatment is coordinated with your general practitioner, psychologist or other clinicians — with your consent.
Psychiatric care is rarely a single appointment. Reviews are planned so that treatment can be adjusted as things change.
Most reputable medical aids are accepted. Please confirm your plan and authorisation with the practice before your first appointment.
Where a medical aid does not cover the full consultation, accounts are settled privately and a detailed invoice is provided for you to submit to your scheme.
